MG ZS EV 2021 facelift launched, will run 413 km on full charge

MG Motor India (MG Motor India), an Indian subsidiary of China’s largest vehicle manufacturer SAIC, has launched an updated version of its electric car ZS EV (ZS EV) in the Indian market. The MG ZS EV 2021 Facelift has been officially launched on Monday. This full electric car was first launched in January 2020. But the MG ZS EV introduced in the new avatar has a new 44.5 kWh HT (Hi-Tech) battery pack. The certified mileage of this car has increased to over 400 km with the new battery. According to the company, the MG ZS EV 2021 facelift can cover a distance of 419 km on full charging.

Battery and power
MG Motor has once again stated that the battery pack supplied in the new car has been tested extensively and in changing weather conditions. The car manufacturer is confident of a range of between 300 and 400 kilometers for the new JS EV, according to the driving conditions and localities of the car driver in actual conditions.

With the new battery pack, the car can reach 100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds and it generates 143 PS of power. The new ZS EV has also increased ground clearance and the figure is now 177 mm. The SUV has an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 20.99 lakh.

Car features
As before, the ZS EV is available in two variants – Excite (Excite) and Exclusive (Exclusive). Talking about the features of the new car, it has features such as 8-inch infotainment screen, six airbags and the Glow logo on the front grille in both variants. But the Exclusive variant offers a large dual-pan panoramic sunroof, leather seat, heated power foldable ORMM, rain-sensing wipers, six-way power adjustable driver seat and i-SMART EV 2.0 connected car features. The ex-showroom price of this variant is Rs 24.18 lakhs. Along with this, the new car is equipped with 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels and PM 2.5 filters and many other functions.

8 years warranty
The company will provide a free wall-charger unit with every MG ZS EV car. It can be applied for free at the customer’s favorite place. MG claims that it is continuing to help in the expansion of the charging infrastructure. The battery pack provided in the MG ZS EV 2021 facelift car has an 8-year warranty. MG is offering a five-year unlimited kilometer warranty or 1.50 lakh km, five free labor service, five-year road side assistance and a five-way charging infrastructure. The company has also expanded to around 31 cities in India.

The carmaker has also introduced the ‘Ecotry Challenge’, in which ZS EV owners can participate in ecological initiatives and track their carbon dioxide savings and national rankings in real time.
