Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) (Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.) started delivery of 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports (2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports) in India. The first buyer of the bike was delivered to Honda’s exclusive premium dealership at Laval Road in Andheri and Bangalore, Mumbai.
The new 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports features a compact and powerful 1084 cc parallel twin engine that enhances the riding spirit. This engine generates power of 73Kw and torque of 103 Nm. The bike’s transmission options include a six-speed manual as well as a dual clutch transmission (DCT) unit.
New battery is more powerful
The Africa Twin Adventure Sports also offers a lithium-ion battery, which claims to have a 1.6 times longer shelf life and four times longer running than a normal battery. The new bike features a bolt-on aluminum subframe and swingarm inspired by Honda’s Dakar machine CRF450R moto-crosser. The bike gets a 5-stage adjustable windscreen, adjustable seat and heated grips that provide a comfortable ride. It has tubeless tires. Based on the ‘Go Anywhere’ concept of its previous model, the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure inspires sports adventure lovers to travel to new destinations.
The new model offers many features. It has Bluetooth connectivity, multi-information display (MID), 6.5 inch TFT touch screen display along with Apple CarPlay. The bike is equipped with a Six-Axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that controls the throttle by wire (TBW). Along with this, it also has a 7-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). The new 2021 model has been introduced with new colors in both DCT and manual transmission variants.
It has dual LED headlights with day-time running lights (DRL), which maintains visibility even during the day. Cornering lights automatically turn on corner spots based on speed and lean angle. Through the ACC charging socket available in Africa Twin Adventure Sports, drivers can charge all their electronic devices even during driving. Cruise control is standard in the bike for the comfort of the rider during long distance travel. This bike has a fuel tank of 24.5 liters, so that the driver can travel a bit more in the adventure.
The full-color multi-information display (MID) 6.5-inch TFT touch screen display with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity features helps the rider see and understand all kinds of data while focusing on riding. The MID can also be customized to show various information according to the chosen riding mode. The special thing is that it can be easily used even by wearing gloves.
A full range of Honda genuine accessories are available in both variants of the Africa Twin, including top box, rear carrier, rally step, DCT pedal shifter, fog lamp, fog lamp ATT, visor and side pipe.

The manual transmission variant of the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports is offered in Darkness Black Metallic Color. The ex-showroom price of this variant in India is Rs 15,96,500. At the same time, dual-clutch transmission (DCT) variants have been introduced with Pearl Grail White Tricolor. The ex-showroom price of this variant in India is Rs 17,50,500.
