The stock market closed on the red mark after trading for the day on Wednesday, the third trading day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex closed at 41,872.73, down 79.90 points, or 0.19 per cent. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 12,343.30, after falling 19 points, or 0.15 per cent. Meanwhile, in the third quarter ended December, the private sector IndusInd Bank saw a fall in its stock even after announcement of profit.
Talking about the stocks, Yes Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, GAIL, Titan, Maruti, M&M, G Ltd, Asian Paints and Grasim closed the green mark on Wednesday. The shares of Wipro, SBI, Infosys, BPCL, IOC, ITC, Tech Mahindra and Vedanta Ltd. closed at the red mark.
